Michael Hudson, MA

Michael began his MSU career in January 1992 serving as specialist in visual, mobility, and chronic health disabilities. He became the Director of The Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities (RCPD) in June of 1999. He received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Lake Superior State University in 1988. He then went on to receive his Master's in University Administration from Western Michigan University.

Michael’s passion is empowering people to develop their abilities and grow through disability, with a special focus on the power of technology and role models to enhance capacity and self-concept. He values the power of an MSU world-class education to transform lives and help people reach their fullest potential. Collaboration with campus and community partners solidifies his belief that, given the proper team, nearly any challenge can be overcome once identified and understood. In 2010, he was named MSU Outstanding Supervisor of the Year via staff nomination.

Michael grew up in Saginaw County, Michigan (St. Charles, Hemlock, Shields). He serves on the Board of Directors of MSU Federal Credit Union, a 7+B organization that empowers people to grow their financial capacity and reach their life dreams. He also serves through Kiwanis of East Lansing with a goal of helping tomorrow’s leaders grow by favorably impacting youth in our community.
