Beginning this fall, University Health and Wellbeing, in collaboration with Live On and the Gender and Sexuality Campus Center, will pilot an initiative providing free gender affirming supplies to students residing in The Transgender Residential Experience (T-REx).
T-REx is a residential program designed to offer a safe, inclusive, and supportive living space for transgender, nonbinary, Two-Spirit, gender non-conforming, and all gender-expansive students.
Recognizing the unique needs of our gender diverse students, we will offer a range of gender affirming supplies including chest binders, binding tape, breast forms, pocket bras, tucking kits, and packers.
This initiative is part of our broader mission in UHW Health Promotion and Engagement to expand our definition of sexual wellness. We are committed to a holistic and inclusive approach that considers the integral role of gender identity and expression. By offering these resources, we aim to promote the wellbeing and overall health of our students.
