Family consultations offer families with children under 12 years of age a comprehensive and cost-effective way to receive travel counseling, vaccinations, and preventative medications.
The cost of a family consultation is $200 for up to four family members (two adults and two children under the age of 12 years old). Additional family members will be billed $50 per person. The family consultation will last approximately one to two hours. The health provider will ask about your travel itinerary, your family's health history, and review vaccination and medication recommendations.
The Travel Clinic does not bill insurance. Payment for your appointment is due the day of service by debit or credit card. You will be provided with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance if they cover travel related healthcare visits. However, travel related visits are often not covered by insurance.

All students, faculty, and staff traveling on MSU sponsored international travel (non-education abroad) must register their travel in the MSU Global Travel Registry before their departure. Registration is an essential tool in supporting the health and safety of MSU travelers abroad, activating MSU-provided international health insurance; evacuation and repatriation insurance; facilitates the University's emergency support services; and provides you with important pre-departure information.
