Make an Appointment

 

Appointments are required.

Scheduling hours are Monday-Friday, 8-11:45 am and 12:45-4:50 pm. (Phone hours begin at 8:30 am on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month following a staff meeting.)

Call 517-353-4660 to make an appointment for all types of visits (physicals, sexually transmitted infections, head injury, medication refills, illness, injury, depression, anxiety, ADHD, chronic health condition, etc.).

Physical Therapy: Call 517-353-5008 to schedule an appointment.

Laboratory Services do not require an appointment and are available on a drop-in basis Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.

Online Scheduling

For some types of primary care and gynecology care, you may now book an appointment online. See below for examples of when to schedule online. For all other reasons, call 517-353-4660 to make an appointment. Must be 18 years of age or older to book an appointment online.

Online Scheduling Eligibility

You must be a student who is eligible for services. If you are not a current enrolled student, your appointment may be cancelled upon arrival. If you have questions about your eligibility, please call 517-353-4660.

When to Seek Immediate Help

While our online scheduling system offers convenience, there are situations where immediate assistance is necessary. Please seek urgent medical attention if you experience:

  • Severe chest pain or difficulty breathing

  • Sudden loss of consciousness or severe dizziness

  • Uncontrollable bleeding or severe injuries

  • Symptoms of a stroke, such as sudden numbness or weakness on one side of the body

  • Suicidal thoughts or actions

In case of emergency, call or text 911 or visit the nearest emergency room.

Once you click into the online scheduling environment, please do not change any of the information in the "Visit Type" or "Location" drop-down menus. Simply choose the provider you would like to see by clicking "View Full Schedule".

Primary Care: Must be 18 years of age or older to book an appointment online.

Please book a primary care appointment if you are experiencing acute illness, such as cough, congestion, or sore throat; an acute injury such as a sprained ankle or acute knee pain; or would like a sexually transmitted infection screening and are not experiencing any symptoms.

If you have a head injury, must call 517-353-4660 to make appointment.

Gynecology: Must be 18 years of age or older to book an appointment online.

Please book a gynecology appointment if you are experiencing acute illness such as vaginal, urinary, or pelvic symptoms; birth control consult; birth control refill; annual exam; sexually transmitted infection testing.

Transgender Care: Must be 18 years of age or older to book an appointment online.

Please book a transgender care appointment if you are interested in discussing initiating or continuing transgender care.

Secure Online Messaging

Secure Online Messaging is available through MyMSUHealth.

Telehealth

Telehealth appointments are now available for some services, allowing you to visit your Campus Health Care provider by computer or mobile device, including:

  • Depression follow-up

  • Anxiety follow-up

  • ADHD follow-up

  • Acne follow-up

  • Transgender Care follow-up

  • Birth control consultation or refill

Keep in mind that:

  • You need to be in the state of Michigan during your telehealth appointment.

  • You will receive instructions and a link via text, email, and the MyMSUHealth patient portal.

  • You need to log in 10 minutes before your appointment time.

  • Each year, you will be required to sign an updated telehealth consent form detailing the telehealth process and expectations.

  • Communications via email over the internet are not secure. Although it is unlikely, there is a possibility that information you include in an email can be intercepted and read by other parties besides the person to whom it is addressed.

Location

We are located at Olin Health Center, 463 E. Circle Drive.

Parking and Transportation

Visitors driving to Olin Health Center may park in the MSU Grand River Parking Ramp next to Olin. The parking is Pay-by-Plate, and Olin does not validate or pay for parking within this parking structure.

Parking stubs from the orange and blue Division St East Lansing parking structure can be validated within Olin at the clinic in which a patient is treated.

There is limited metered parking in front of Olin Health Center. Be aware that if you park in the designated pharmacy parking spots you could get ticketed.

Olin Health Services is located along the CATA Bus Transportation Routes 1, 24, 26, and 34, with drop offs both in front of Olin and behind Olin on the Berkey Hall (east) side of the building.

Transportation to Local Urgent Care Clinics

When Olin Health Center is closed and non-emergency medical care is desired or recommended by the Phone Information Nurse, students can call LYFT, UBER, or a taxi for transport to a local urgent care clinic or hospital.  

When Olin Health Center is open, and a student prefers to use an urgent care clinic off-campus, the student should expect to cover the cost of transportation. If it is not a medical emergency and an ambulance is not required, students may call LYFT, UBER, or a taxi for transportation to the hospital or an urgent care clinic.
