Introducing Spartan Shelf: The Next Chapter of the MSU Student Food Bank

Spartans helping Spartans will not change.

What has changed is the evolution of the MSU Student Food Bank into the MSU Food Bank and Basic Needs Program, reflecting the program’s expanded mission.

To better meet growing needs, the MSU Food Bank and Basic Needs Program now provides service from two campus locations: the MSU Union and Olin Health Center.

Both sites will carry the Spartan Shelf brand. Complementing Spartan Shelf-Olin’s grocery pick-up model, Spartan Shelf-Union will feature an innovative self-shop model, extended hours, foods for diverse dietary needs, and person-centered support

Spartan Shelf

The MSU Food Bank serves MSU students experiencing food insecurity by providing free nutritious food and essential supplies.
