The Central Administration pillar serves as a foundational support system, enabling UHW to implement, manage, and enhance health and wellbeing initiatives. The pillar includes Communications, Electronic Medical Records Oversight, Facility Operations, Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, Medical Scheduling, Services and Billing, and Quality Control and Compliance Administration.
A newly redesigned website brings all University Health and Wellbeing unit information together under one centralized URL. The site features updated content, streamlined navigation, and a cohesive user experience that makes it easier than ever for students, faculty, and staff to access the resources they need. Built with inclusivity in mind, the site earned high accessibility scores, ensuring that our digital presence reflects our commitment to inclusion.
As part of our commitment to fostering a well-informed and connected campus community, we continued to utilize a multi-channel communication strategy to share timely health and wellbeing resources. Through a variety of formats and platforms, including print materials in residence halls, digital outreach, and social media, we aim to reach students, faculty, and staff where they live, learn, and work. Social media posts were successfully, with 1.3 million impressions, and 20.2 thousand engagements across 4 different platforms.
This fall, we introduced the Wellbeing at MSU podcast, hosted by Dr. Travis and featuring guests from across campus and the broader community. Each episode offers thoughtful conversations that showcase the programs, priorities, and personal stories behind MSU’s commitment to fostering a culture of care. A new cloud-based policy management platform serves as the centralized hub for all UHW policy documents, providing a more efficient and user-friendly way to communicate policy updates. With robust version control, it ensures everyone has access to the most accurate and current information without having to dig through files.
Leadership trainings and coaching were provided for Senior Leadership Team aimed at enhancing skills and fostering effective collaboration. Additionally, we held our second Professional Development Day for UHW staff, featuring speakers on topics such as mapping caregiving and taming the email beast. The event not only created an opportunity for growth, collaboration, and networking, but also reinforced our commitment to continuous learning and development.
Olin Health Center underwent renovations this year, including enhancements to its conference room and classroom to support a more dynamic environment for trainings and meetings.
