HanaLi Gilbert

Biography

HanaLi is from Grand Rapids, MI. She joined the CAPS team in 2025 as part of her yearlong predoctoral internship, which serves as a final step to completing her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University. HanaLi practices from an integrative framework, drawing on psychodynamic, relational, multicultural, and empowerment approaches. She values the ways in which systems, intersectional identities, and lived experiences shape wellbeing, and strives to understand each person
