Swap screen fatigue for fresh air and Homecoming spirit at MSU's 11th annual “Healthy Homecoming Walk”.
Walk or roll laps to push MSU to the top of the global university leaderboard, and – if you are an MSU employee - compete against fellow Spartans! This drop-in, physical activity event easily fits into your day. Fit in a lap between classes, take a quick movement break, or turn a routine check-in into a team-building activity.
As you re-energize and make your way around Dem Hall Field:
- Save lives: Donate blood through the “We Give Blood” campaign, led by Abbott and the Big Ten®
- Limited appointment slots are available between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. – sign up now to donate using Versiti’s form or call 866-642-5663.
- Snag free swag and chances to win prizes: Score free merch from campus well-being resources and enter to win prizes from our event donors.
- Drop by our Resource Fair (11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.): Discover campus well-being resources, perks, and student groups.
- Enjoy high-energy music: Provided by Impact 89FM (visit Impact 89FM’s website).
- Games and more: Challenge your friends to yard games, fitness stations, and more.
As you walk or roll around the field, you can enter your distance covered in our movement challenge with other Exercise is Medicine on Campus® universities across the globe. MSU employees may also choose to compete against other Spartans in our teams challenge.
How It Works
- Global Movement Challenge:
- Walk or Roll with Us: Drop in anytime between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.; if you can’t attend the event, walk or roll anytime during the day on October 7.
- Log Your Laps: Every lap you walk or roll can help take MSU to the top of the global leaderboard.
- MSU Employees Teams Challenge
- Assemble Your Team: Compete as an individual or assemble a team of two to three MSU employees. Cross-department teams are welcome.
- Register to Compete: Register your team in Learning Stream.

This event is led by University Health and Well-Being, the Exercise is Medicine on Campus® registered student organization, and the University Activities Board.
