Dear MSU Students;
As flu season approaches, I encourage you to get your annual flu shot. Taking a few moments to get vaccinated can help protect you from days of illness, missed classes, and disruptions to your semester.
This year, free flu shots will be available to all MSU students at the following outreach event. No appointment is required.

Can't make it on Oct. 14? You can schedule an appointment with a Campus Health Services nurse for a free flu shot by calling 517-353-4660. Flu shot appointments with a nurse do not count toward the three free primary care visits available each year to eligible MSU students.
While we're discussing preventive health, I also encourage you to review your vaccination records and ensure they are up to date, particularly your measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccination. Measles cases are on the rise in the United States. While there are no active cases on campus, being prepared is vital. If a case of measles were to be confirmed on campus, individuals who cannot prove they have received a complete two-dose measles (MMR) vaccine series will be required to isolate for 21 days if exposed. A little preparation now can prevent significant disruption later.

Getting a flu shot and having documentation of your vaccination records are simple steps that help protect not only your own health, but also the health of your friends, classmates, instructors, and the broader Spartan community.
