Advocacy services are designed to help you understand your options, access resources, and navigate systems that may feel overwhelming. Whether you are seeking support after a recent experience or addressing ongoing concerns, our advocates are here to help you identify what feels safest, most supportive, and most helpful for you.
Advocates provide emotional support, information, problem-solving assistance, and connections to resources. Because every survivor’s experience and needs are different, we work collaboratively with you to identify your goals and develop a plan that supports your choices.
You decide what support feels right for you. Throughout the process, you remain in control of your choices and next steps.

MSU Center for Survivors
Your first conversation with an advocate is an opportunity to discuss your concerns, ask questions, and identify what support you are seeking. Advocates will listen, provide information, and help you understand available options.
You are never required to report, pursue legal action, or make any decisions before you are ready. Our role is to support you in making informed choices that feel right for you.
Connecting with an advocate is simple.
