Trauma-Informed Interview Room

The Center for Survivors is proud to offer a trauma-informed interview room in collaboration with the MSU Campus Sexual Assault Response Team (SART). This thoughtfully designed space provides a private, supportive, and comfortable environment for survivors who choose to share their experiences with law enforcement or University Title IX investigators.

The interview room is available to any adult survivor reporting sexual violence, relationship violence, or stalking. It is designed to help reduce the stress associated with the reporting process by promoting safety, dignity, and empowerment. The room is equipped with iRecord technology, which records survivor interviews for investigative purposes, allowing investigators to leave with the recording in hand.

Access to this resource is not limited to members of the Michigan State University community. Any An investigator interviewing an adult survivor may use the trauma-informed interview room, regardless of their affiliation with the university.

If you are a survivor considering reporting an incident and would like support, the Center for Survivors can help connect you with available resources and guide you through your options. Contact advocacy@msu.edu to talk with an advocate about reporting options.

Contact general@msu.edu to connect with the SART Coordinator regarding using the Trauma-informed Interview Room.
